What are dragon's teeth?

Dragon's teeth are concrete obstacles, traditionally square-based pyramids, set in rows to stop or channel vehicles. The name comes from their look: rows of pointed teeth across open ground. They were used widely as anti-tank obstacles in the mid-20th century, including along the Siegfried Line.
Modern uses
Today, concrete dragon's teeth are used as perimeter barriers around installations, along approach roads and at entry control points, and around critical infrastructure. Training areas also use pyramid obstacle lines.
Dragon's teeth vs Jersey barriers
Jersey barriers are long, low, and designed to redirect traffic along a roadway. Dragon's teeth are discrete high-mass units that present a tall obstacle and can be spaced to block vehicles while letting people pass. See Jersey barrier alternative.
